ok i used the search button and found pretty much crap threads so I made a new one

does the VwK IDS farm build still work?
im running
vengeful was khanhei
vengeful weapon
resilient weapon
generous was tsungrai
enraging charge
sprint
doylak signet
signet of stamina
my atts are
st -15
tatics - 9
resto - 10

The run I know all the way to the ice caves. My problem is I can't seem to ever make the run there. With the seige golems slowing me down with deep freeze. Or the heretics slowing me down with crip anguish. Can this build solo my way there, with no henchies at all?

also if someone could please provide some suggestions thatd be great
if someone could also maybe show me the run, with this build, thats be better

9 points in tactics and no tactics skills is kinda pointless, no?

Check the link I posted here. That build works very easily, almost a no-brainer. Personally I always liked offensive builds where you actually killed stuff instead of waiting for enemies to kill themselves. If you're familiar with the run, you should know it's no problem if the Heretics kill you near the rez shrine at the Mineral Springs portal. You rez and Sprint for the portal, since you are immune to hexes for the first few seconds.

ok so i looked the link and the build looks good, I dont have GWEN so what should i bring instead of I am the strongest? would sig of strength work?

That's not "I am the Strongest!", it's "Feel No Pain".

+1..5 health regen +lots of max health if drunk.

The build already has Defy Pain and Dolyak Signet, so it'd be hard to find a non-EotN replacement.

hum... your running the north way. that's when you enter the zone you take the left instead of going straight and to the right?

i gave up doing IDS runs w/ hard mode. but i've use this for ages or a tweak of this

you can solo all the way up to the area before the rez area w/ the Avicara Guile & Avicara Wise. It takes awhile but you get so many feathers and hide squares.

never like the VwK build. but that's just me. Good luck.

You could try Lion's Comfort, it'll be a good heal in spots where you aren't facing knockdowns (no Dolyak for 12 seconds when you're getting knock-locked isn't fun). You could likely survive the Nightmares if you move slowly and keep from aggroing all of them at once. Pulling the Ice Beast with a bow so you kill it by itself helps too (though that's not always possible).

When I was doing it, I noticed that Defy Pain absorbs most (if not all) of the damage from Retribution and Holy Wrath as long as you don't use attack skills, so if you do aggro too many, you can realistically just DPS the Nightmares to death, and Vigorous Spirit + Flail (can't believe I said flurry) will be enough to keep you alive and offset the Sig of Judgement spam.
